Solar Forest

Solar Forest is a dynamic and interactive outdoor light installation designed by Vanessa Till in collaboration with Alice Chun creator of the Solar Helix lantern. The installation feature 360 lanterns donated by SoLight Design. Each lantern features a solar panel that charges each day and illuminates each night. The sculpture is designed to be rigged between trees, illuminating the park at night without any power source other than the sun. 

The installation highlights the global need for clean, affordable light as well as draws our attention to the importance of the intersection between design and technology that is critical in developing renewable energy sources.
